Turbid Station - Heist Rework was a re-imagination of the original heist experience. The rework expanded the level to better support loud gameplay and improved traversal, combat flow, and gameplay readability.
A major focus of the project was the large-scale overhaul of lighting and colour language. This shift helped push the heist closer to PAYDAY 3’s evolving visual identity. The stealth experience leans on colder steel-blue tones to reinforce professionalism, precision, and controlled tension. Underground spaces use dirtier amber lighting, which emphasises the claustrophobic, chaotic nature of loud gameplay encounters.
The rework also focused on improving visual readability. It used stronger contrast, cleaner focal guidance, and clearer gameplay spaces. These changes help players navigate the environment more naturally during both stealth and loud gameplay.
As with the previous heist reworks, this was a collaborative effort. Environment art, lighting, level design, VFX, and supporting teams all contributed to the project. My role involved defining the direction, identifying issues, and guiding project execution.
